Focus areas:
- Emerson offers solutions across the energy value chain. For example, for upstream, we designed proven gas detection technology to identify leaks and relief valve monitoring solutions that help monitor "blind devices" and identify relief emissions.
- A key preventable emissions challenge facing the energy industry involves fugitive emissions that leak from a variety of areas, including joints, pipe flanges, and valve packing. To address this, Emerson offers specific packing designs and emissions-free valve designs that limit the release of fugitive emissions into the atmosphere.
- Another preventative strategy involves implementing integrity monitoring across the energy value chain, from non-intrusive corrosion monitoring on process pipes to pipeline leak detection across transport infrastructure and overfill prevention in midstream operations.
- Finally, by using our software, customers can create predictive models for emissions, which can help operators optimize combustion operations and reduce their overall emissions profile.
